Boulevard elevates our customer experience, giving us a competitive edge
Stellar. Simply put the experience from onboarding, training and ongoing support is fantastic. I hear the horror stories from other Main Street owners using the more established incumbents in the space and I am glad I made the right decision to choose Boulevard!
Avantages
The single unified design, the built in messenger and online booking workflow.
Compared with many established players who patch together different features with different user interface designs, Boulevard has one easy to use design. There is no jarring for the user when they switch features. It is all seamless.
The Messenger has helped reduce telephone time significantly and has about a 90% open rate. It also provides a detailed record or client requests, issues and concerns. With voice calls, notes are not always taken.
The online booking workflow has helped us increase self booking, allowing front desk to refocus time in other areas.
Inconvénients
Boulevard feature development is continuous so I always feel confident that features and improvements will be added. One area that could do with improvement is the Guest Account Management. Ideally guests would like the ability to log in and see their service history and transactions in addition to being about to book. I know though that this is an area receiving some focus now and look forward to seeing improvements in 2022.

The software I inherited was over 10 yrs old on a Windows 7 machine. It was not connected to the internet for management outside the salon and generally the data was not accurate. We needed a cloud based solution and one with built in payments and online booking. I reviewed 6 solutions in depth with demos and by far Boulevard was the best.Pourquoi passer à Boulevard

Growth positive and easy to use
My overall experience has been very positive and I will continue to grow with Boulevard until I am no longer able to!
Avantages
Boulevard is great! It is very user-friendly both on the salon-facing side and the customer-facing side. The reports are easy to navigate and provide insight into the health of your company and the online booking widget keeps customers on your page instead of sending to a third party. The app is our favorite as we utilize that daily and the customer service is second to none in a software company.
Inconvénients
I don't care for their merchant experience much and I think the price point could improve.

Boulevard - its like the mafia, there's no getting out.
My experience with the software was pretty average until I tried to leave the platform. Once you communicate to them you are leaving, they try everything in their power to make switching as hard as possible. From trying to charge you for months and months of a software you are not going to use, to holding your client data hostage.
Avantages
Software is easy to use, and online booking works well.
Inconvénients
Boulevard tries to literally extort you on the way out the door. For me, after having been with the company for a year and half, way past my initial one year contract, they told me my contract had automatically renewed (with not reminders or promts from them asking if I in fact wanted to renew) and that if I wanted to take my data (appointment history, client history, forms and charts) I would have to pay out the remainder of my contract. And their emails are pretty clear, either payout the entire contract even though you no longer plan to use the software, or "work with us to stay". This is simply extorsion put nicely. Plus when you join, you sign a I one year contract, they NEVER tell you that contact will renew automatically and for the same period of time once the year is up.

Boulevard Software System for Aesthetics/Medical Spa
Overall, Boulevard has been responsive to questions posed by our business and worked to help us maximize the features of their software for the business services and products we offer at our clinic.
Avantages
The Boulevard software system has been seamless for integrating our client data, forms, services, and products. Additionally, the POS system available through Boulevard is managed in-house, reducing the likelihood of cross-software communication issues that we experienced with our last backend software program. Overall, the Boulevard software has been intuitive and user-friendly for both staff and clients alike. Boulevard's seamless technology brings in and retains clients, which maximizes the growth potential of our business.
Inconvénients
Boulevard at first may seem to be more expensive than other aesthetics/medical spa software; however, we have found that they offer many services within their bundled packages that other software companies include only as "add-ons" for additional fees -- making other software systems just as, or more, expensive than Boulevard.

Wasn’t sure about Boulevard at first… but I LOVE it now!!!
I have had boulevard for 3 years. At first I was unsure if I made the right choice switching from Square. However, over the past few years Boulevard has improved so much and I am so impressed by how they really listen to what we want and need and are constantly making things easier and better. It really is geared for MedSpas which is super important!
Avantages
It is very user friendly. There are a lot of different add ons like text marketing and email marketing that I love! They just introduced packages and memberships which is great!
Inconvénients
It is difficult to refund people their booking deposit if they cancel their appointment. I wish it automatically refunded it to them when they cancel.

My only wish is that I could view and modify existing staff schedule patterns rather than starting over. I also wish it was easier to close the business for holidays rather than having to manage individual stylist schedules.

I wish there was a notification sent to service providers when a client reschedules. I’d love to have a secure link a client can use to input their credit card info. I’d love to be able to invoice through the system. I wish pictures didn’t trash on messages after a certain amount of time. I’d love to be able to choose a default name when several clients share a phone number (mothers and daughters)

An Excellent Partnership
I would have given BLVD a 4.5 if the scale had allowed. It has been an excellent experience and our multi-location salon group can be outside of the norm for many software providers.
Avantages
The people are extremely helpful and want to feel like a true partner. Very timely resolutions to problems. Easy to get in touch with someone who can help. Onboarding 3 years ago was a pain (it always is) but our specialist was superb and made it much less so.
Inconvénients
We are on the East Coast and they are on the West so sometimes our hours don’t line up.

I like how customizable everything is. With running a medical spa & a facial bar we have a lot of specific times / treatments. It’s so easy to create and edit everything! I also love that there is a place to submit requests for changes and new ideas!
Inconvénients
The only thing I wish I could change is to make the appointment service modifiers assignable to employees! This is such a specific, weird request and it's in no way affecting how we operate on a day to day basis so I don't really care that much!

Easy Switch but missing a few details for the high price tag
Boulevard is user friendly. for the high price tag i had expected a few more features it seems like a relatively new software as they say theyre working on a lot of features alot. you cant invoice clients, or clients cant see any credit on their account or use it to pay the deposit.
Avantages
The transfer from zenoti was easy. they were very helpful everything transfered over fine except one package and our rep went through and manually switched it themselves.
Inconvénients
The deposit feature is all or nothing. Clients that already have account credit or vouchers (packages) are still required to pay deposit and its a bit annoying for them and use to figure out how to refund. it seems like alot of cc fees for money i cant keep.

We really enjoy how user friendly Boulevard is. We needed a software that our team could be easily trained on and simple to use. They provide so many tools for learning the system in the beginning and that helped us a lot! Their customer service is also one of the best we have come across. They are always quick to respond to questions and help solve problems. Big thumbs up!
Inconvénients
I wish that they had some modern software features like a client faced portal; with custom info for them to see past, present, and future appointments and custom appointment text reminders (this is a biggie, as most people don't check their email anymore).

Amazing app for spa services
Avantages
The layout and easy side menu make it straightforward to see my own bookings or get an overall view of the day, week, or month at the spa. The newly added access to documents and forms and the ability to update SOAP notes on the app is incredibly helpful and time saving.
Inconvénients
I can’t think of any shortcomings of this app! I love that I can text the spa via the designated number to communicate with front desk, that all the paperwork I need to view is handy from the app now, and that I get text alerts with new booking information. Best scheduling app I’ve used so far

Convenient and easy to use
Avantages
Boulevard is easy to use for front desk and clinical staff. The multiple views and intuitive features make it easy to train new staff. It has a variety of business tracking tools that can be customized in many ways.
Inconvénients
Customer service through the chat system is not the most versed. Does have infrequent times of "downtime" which can be disruptive to business flow.
