Ce logiciel est très simple à installer en ce qui concerne le paramétrage, configuration et la personnalisation et ne nécessite pas un intégrateur et le bon c'est qu'il y'a toujours un support technique disponible en plusieurs langues

la prise en charge des images GIF sont limités et le coût d'abonnement plus élevé pourrait être une préoccupation ainsi que les effets d'animation par rapport aux autres outils de création

One of the features that I like is the recording of demonstrations. You can record screen demonstrations to show learners how to perform certain tasks.

Inconvénients

The feature that I like the least is the limited range of interactivity options. I feel that they could have added more functionality to provide greater diversity in interactive elements.

I found that the features in Captivate that allow the creation of interactive videos were useful.

Pop up content is standard in eLearning courses, but Adobe have continued to ignore this basic requirement, making it a very long-winded and difficult task to add pop up/reveal content.

Avantages

When i first used Adobe Captivate, it was outstanding how it allowed me to bring my ideas to life. It has made building responsive eLearning courses so much easier and faster. I love the fact that you can incorporate simulations, quizzes, and surveys, to name a few.

Inconvénients

For those without prior experience in eLearning development, it could sometimes get complex, just like everything else.

Avantages

Fairly simple to learn and use at a basic level, but powerful features lurk beneath the surface! Operates well with other Adobe applications and output can be exported into most other programmes. Easier to learn than Articulate Storyline.

Inconvénients

The only real downside is the cost. It can take a little while to discover and use the more advanced features, but that's to be expected.

The functionality allows for a variety of courses to be created.

Inconvénients

Captivate is simply not intuitive or easy to use. Compared to other authoring tools for e-learning, Captivate is one of the most difficult softwares to use. Additionally, the support for the tools are just not there. If you reach out to support, expect to wait for a long time.

Avantages

Having used many products for developing e-learning, Captivate is among the top-tier development programs but has a high cost to entry. The platform is powerful and has a lot of nuances that allow for digging deep into options for developing truly custom courses and user experiences.

Inconvénients

While you can dig deeply into advanced interactions, data reporting, etc, the learning curve is immense to begin to understand elements such as advanced actions, keywords, etc. Variables become buried and are not as easy to manipulate as in Articulate Storyline, but they are buried for very good reason in that you can actually do more in Captivate than with its rival program with such features. If I am to further nitpick, I am not excited by the filmstrip display for slide storyline. This is a feature I love in Articulate's e-learning in that non-linear branching is highly encouraged whereas the linear filmstrip does little to entice users to develop complex learning opportunities, reinforcing the linear death by slides commonly seen in virtual learning.

It has all the design and tool features that you need in order to create eLearning courses and SCORM compliant training.

There's a lot of formulas and other equations that need to come into play when using this program. Other programs have the more simplified approach.

Steep learning curve, so it is critical you find "sample projects" to practice learning behaviours and features so you become proficient.

I can only think of 1 and it is that it works with a Mac. Barely.

Captivate is a very clunky software. And by clunky, I mean that the interactions are counterintuitive and to create an interaction is incredibly time-consuming. The competing offering software has a much better interface. I was forced to use captivate because of my Mac computer. My organization will not let me use parallels so I was stuck with using captivate. After about offering three courses, I was done. Development took about twice as much as the other competing tool.

During my previous role as a Regional Training Executive I was nervous to create Training Modules as I had previously used a different software. Adobe Captivate is simple to use and quick to learn. I no longer create Training Modules however if I do I hope to use Adobe Captivate.

Possibly a personal issue however as I was working form home I had alot of issues accessing account however our remote IT Team were able to asssit me (apologies I am not sure what their resolution was).

I loved how you can create panels and embed videos within those panels for training purposes. Captivate can be used in meetings as presentation slides as well even though other programs may be better for that purpose.

What I like least is kind of a strength of the software. It is so robust that training on how to use the software is necessary. You can jump right in without training but you can miss a lot of the perks that Captivate offers.

I was able to create engaging e learning modules quickly. Easy to use from the beginning and many options to publish.

The learning curve was small and I was able to get going quickly. Sometimes larger files have trouble publishing.

Avantages

Captivate is pretty easy to learn. I pretty much taught myself how to use it and don't have any big issues with it. I like that it publishes directly into Adobe Captivate Prime (our LMS). There are quite a few nice features that get added with each upgrade.

Inconvénients

Sometimes the software crashes. I have to work with big files on my desktop rather than on my network drive. I had some files become corrupt from the application freezing. It would be nice if Adobe gave free upgrades rather than charging to upgrade every couple years. I would also like to have more pre-built templates for gaming. Most of the options available aren't ideal.

I like how many things you can do with it. You can literally edit any document any way you want.

The only problem I've had with Adobe is that sometimes documents freeze every once in a while.

The biggest downfall of this software is that it cannot be edited without purchasing. Being a program that is so widely used, the editing features should be free of charge.
