Avantages

C'est est puissant outil de gestion des tests de logiciels. En terme d'assurance qualité, il offre des fonctionnalités tout en un que vous ne trouverez nulle pas ailleurs qui consiste à créer et organiser des cas de tests, des suites de test et scénarios, de suivi des résultats (enregistrement et rapports). Ce qui impressionne le plus est qu'il permet à plusieurs personnes de collaborer sur un projet d'une part et d'autre part, il favorise l'intégration facile à GitHub et Jira. En terme d'assurance qualité, il est évident d'utiliser cette plateforme TestRail

Inconvénients

Cette plateforme est purement concentré sur la langue anglaise, si vous pouvez essayer d'ajouter le français, ça facilitera plus la tâche aux utilisateurs francophones

Avantages

It's very easy to use, with different kind of configurarions and customizations.

Inconvénients

The tests scenarios are not versioned. There's not possibility to see previous changes or have different versions of them.

Avantages

Easy and simple way to build a QA process, plus it's web-based, easy to admin, and has a simple UX that even our QA co-ops can follow for manual test. Has scaled well with our team.

Inconvénients

Not much to not like. Works as advertised but doesn't seem to tie easily into automated testing, maybe that could be an add on in future.

Avantages

This was very easy software to use. We used the cloud version. We were able to quickly setup Test Plans and cases with reports to watch how we were doing quality wise. The printed versions and online print versions of test cases were very useful.

Inconvénients

The export wasn't as good as I hoped. It lost all the images we had stored in each of the test cases.

Avantages

This tool helped me in keeping a track of each and every QA activity.

The best part is the Reporting feature that how much time was spent on which feature or test case

Also the extended support using API helped in integrating with the automation framework

Inconvénients

The price is too high.

I am planning to buy some more licenses but the price is very high

TestRail allows us to manage our test cases with great Jira integration.

Inconvénients

Some of the admin was a bit cumbersome when we first started such that there wasn't a good split between the person that administers the accounts and who pays for it.

Avantages

After several years in QA and using TestLink and other tools finally I was able to convince management to use TestRail. That was a game changer - easy to use for manual testing, integration with our automation flow and integration with JIRA saved us a lot of work days.

Inconvénients

Sometimes I've experienced issue with JIRA integration (we were using Microsoft Active Directory and password to JIRA was changing each month)

Avantages

Easy to use, simple and straightforward api's to plug into with good documentation. Love this system to use with both manual and automation.

Inconvénients

Running test runs are sometimes a pain but you can still manage.

Avantages

TestRail has a nice UI. With the provided templates it is easy to quickly get test cases written. We use it most for regression test suites and it has been a valuable tool for quickly getting our web application regression tested prior to delivery. The quick reporting (via a pie chart) of tests completed/passed/failed gives feedback as to how the team is performing.

Inconvénients

One of the items we wanted to use was the Jira integration. However, due to our corporate policies and firewall issues, we are not able to integrate. We use the cloud version of Jira. This is not the fault of the TestRail integration piece but was a con for our us.

Avantages

Inconvénients

TestRail's support options can be limited. While the tool does offer documentation and a community forum, users may find it difficult to get support in a timely manner, particularly for more complex issues.

Avantages

1. Ability to create test plans and test case for multiple features at once. 2. Ability to configure test cases in combination for different environments and browsers, OS etc. 3. Ability to present detailed reports to stakeholder and management. 4. Integration with Jira eases the need to map to a user story. 5. The test plan hierarchy helps to create test cases easily and it helps reduce redundancy between test cases. 6. Very easy to navigate using the user interface. 6. Ability to lock a test plan where it can no further be modified.
7. Able to run test cases in multiple environment and check the run history. 8. Able to download and email reports to management.

Inconvénients

Searching for a past completed story is difficult unless to navigate from Jira. Marking a test case run as passed has too many steps involved. Id love if it has ability to record screen as well as attaching screenshot to a test step/ I'd also love if I can pass/fail each step of a test case and not the test case as a whole.

Avantages

- This is the receipt of real-time test results (creating reports on completely different criteria: Defect Summary, Comparison for Cases, test results for projects / components, etc.)
- This is an easy organization and convenient tracking of the load of the testing department (the ability to fully customize the "working dashboard" of the QA department)

- Easy installation, deployment and support
- "Communication" with the Jira (this is very convenient for regression and autotests)
- easy to receive reports on the launch of test suites

Inconvénients

As one of the drawbacks - until recently, Test Report system was poorly implemented reporting system: scant results on test-wounds, lack of customization of reports, etc.

Avantages

- Intuitive UI system that allows you yo easily organize test suites, test runs, and projects.
- Sync logged bugs to the test cases you're testing for transparency.
- Reporting and the ability to estimate testing allows for you to gather more information easily.

Inconvénients

- It can be quite expensive for small teams, but it's well worth it.
- Creating test cases in TestRail is pretty tedious (which is why I typically just import them).
- Reporting system is a little complicated to understand and utilize effectively.

Avantages

- The system of test suites (a master list of all your test cases) and test runs (individual lists of specific test cases) is well-built and allows you to manage your test cases easily.
- Product is consistently stable.
- Test cases in different parts of the product have synced states, which makes it easy to make changes to a test case when necessary.
- Tools for sorting test cases in a run/suite are powerful.

Inconvénients

- There isn't a good tutorial for the product (or at the very least I never saw anything like a tutorial). As a result, it took me a while to notice some of the more unintuitive features.
- Collaboration can be a bit clunky sometimes (multiple users editing a single test case, notifications at email level only).

Avantages

It is very intuitive. If one used other such tools for test documentation and tracking, it really very use to start with Test Rail.

Inconvénients

1) Configuration of the tool is a bit too rigid. I would make it more streamlined and have some admin features for configuration made available for regular users
2) Errors. Rather errors explanations. If possible to expand on what the exact issue is when we get an error.

- you can create a lot of testcases but you still keep the overview
- you can connect it with jira
- after some time the UI is easy to use and you can give the test case to tester

- design is outdated and could be a bit more intuitiv

- so as much as it is adaptable by doing so it also makes it not the strongest tool since it needs to support many different styles
- reporting engine to do customizations is a learning curve

Avantages

Easy to see status of projects on dashboard, test runs are quick and easy to set up. DB is backed up, but also the availability to make local backups as well.

Inconvénients

Can be a little tricky to get the project set up and configured at first but soon becomes intuitive

It's pretty easy to learn and very quickly onboarding it

Inconvénients

No slack integrations very bad no have many integrations with other platforms

Avantages

One thing I like the most about the software is the ability to create and share reports on test results.

Inconvénients

The thing I like least about the software is the test-case review process is not very streamlined.

Avantages

1. It is simple to login in. It takes your windows login/pwd
2. Test cases copying from the previous release is easy.
3 The pie chart display of TC run is precise and informative.
4. Its filtering and selection option is superb. And I like this feature very much.

Inconvénients

1. I have administrative right to deleted folder, cases etc. But I feel delete option could have a bigger icon. Many times I have to search the tiny red button.

2. Artifact/screenshots addition option is good but after the run, you cannot add any artifact. You have to rerun test cases in testrail for future reference

3. Loading of GUIs takes little time [ but not often]

- TestRail provides an easy and simple way to create and manage test cases with no hassle.
- It is very easy to keep track of things with graphics information.

Inconvénients

- The reporting features could be improved since it is very basic with no many customization options.

Avantages

Testrail is the test case management tool that is easy to use and understand. Test case management and test run makes easy to track our test case and modify as the product change its feature in the future. Great tool to track our test result. Also we can integrate with Jira as well

Inconvénients

It's better to send notification when we tag someone from same organizations in the comment section.
