Winpharm de Datascan est une solution de gestion de pharmacie pour les pharmacies de détail indépendantes, les pharmacies hospitalières, les pharmacies ambulatoires, les médecins, les dispensaires et les entreprises de gestion des soins de longue durée. Winpharm propose des options permettant de personnaliser le déroulement des processus, comme l'utilisation de stations d'accueil, la saisie de données, l'évaluation des besoins de vérification, etc. Winpharm comprend un module de vérification intégré complet qui aide les utilisateurs à synchroniser les clients avec la solution de PDV (point de vente), à numériser et stocker des copies papier de documents, à trouver et à ajouter de nouveaux médicaments. Elle fournit une base de données de médecins nationale, des renouvellements en ligne et un système de prise en charge monoposte et multiposte. Les autres fonctionnalités incluent la mise à jour électronique de l'inventaire des médicaments de prescription, la gestion des documents et le module pour médicament magistral.

Datascan WinPharm

Implementation was great. You will know the support staff by name and personality. Problems are addressed quickly.

Avantages

Support is second to none. Fast response time. Easy to learn system. Multiple report tools.

I have to think for a long time about coming up with a Con. None yet

I should have moved to Datascan / Winpharm 10 years ago!

I could not be happier with the system. Without doubt, the system has made us faster and more accurate. Many of the benefits I see daily: The POS system is user friendly, the CC machine is fast, reports are easy to produce, processing prescriptions is easy; edits are easy, DUR fields auto-populate, ... I could give a hundred examples of improvements over any of the other pharmacy software systems that I have used over the years.

Avantages

This software program is so easy to learn; there are so many redundancies built in that one can quickly learn how to process prescriptions ( and all the other functions we do in pharmacy ) with ease... I am amazed how proficient our crew became in such a short period. My favorite part - the technician data entry error rate has plummeted! In Winpharm, prescription data is entered piece by piece; this causes the technician to stay focused on one piece of data at a time. We've seen a HUGE decrease in the number of prescriptions sent back for data correction. Impressive system. Their customer service is absolutely outstanding.

Inconvénients

There are two areas where we all seem to struggle some: Processing COBs and data entry of complex SIGs. The system is a little tricky with each of these steps. For COBs, once learned, it's a manageable process...it's getting there that is difficult. For SIG code entry, simple directions are a breeze to enter, but complex directions can be challenging.

No no no

System is old and dated. Coming from a cloud based system, this is a disaster. The words used to describe the actions don’t correlate for example, void means reverse from insurance. Things typed incorrectly remains on patient profile
Reports cannot be sorted by patient and plan
I’m a tech forward user and this is really like a 2000 program
Too many pop ups that you cannot turn off even though they sell you a customizable program

The trainers were nice but the software is archaic

Inconvénients

Pop ups, words don’t match actions, reports not customizable . Server with power needed. Not cloud based. Have to use mouse. Errors remain in profile if you adjudicate before correcting, not really windows functions. The list goes on

The pharmacy owner leaving this review was a customer for less than 1 week. Upon our initial onsite training, the owner was rude, abusive, and already complaining about having to switch vendors. Her previous system had been sunset, forcing users to move to another software product. The owner also bashes a highly regarded competitor of ours in her review, while never even using their system. Our staff all the way to the top bent over backwards to help the pharmacy owner, but was only met with refusal to learn, negativity, and continued abuse.

Customer was informed numerous times that we are not a cloud system, but chose to interpret this in her own way. Popups, reports, and numerous system settings are customizable, but without being open to learning the system you're never going to adjust. Her comments are purely inaccurate, and her overall lack of knowledge of how the system works is apparent.

Best in the West if not the entire USA!

Regardless of your issue or need, you call and anyone who answers (in less than 3 rings) can and will help address any and all concerns. Seriously, it is that good. I love that if there is an issue they will put me through to one of the actual programmers! Come on who does that?! I have even been able to talk to [sensitive content hidden] and he made sure I was taken care of and satisfied.

Avantages

They respond! Simple and easy to work with. It is actually a pleasure to call and know they not only take care of us immediately (no wait!!) but you can tell they care and want us to succeed.

Inconvénients

I wish I could say something I least like, if for anything their benefit, but I cannot say anything.

A very happy customer

We switched from another system and it was always very hard to reach someone for help when we had questions. Winpharm is a much easier software and the support is so much more helpful.

Exactly what an independent pharmacy needs.

Overall experience was excellent. No question was left unanswered, and we are extremely happy with the reduction in cost.

Avantages

Winpharm was very easy to learn, the training staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The simple process of filling a prescription is quick and efficient.
Help desk staff has immediate response rates and if a question needed more research they connected back in less than 24 hours,

WinPharm Review

Customer Service is great. Overall satisfied, but definitely could use upgrading to be on the same level as Pioneer Rx. Would like to see the MedSync program improved, QR Code on Rx Prescription bottle labels, etc. Would also like to see more integration with other programs.

MedSync and mobile app. Also, 340B setup overestimates gross margin. Should be able to customize and make more user friendly.

Compounding Pharmacy Software

There have been a few issues with the software not having functionality that we needed. We made WinPharm aware of these issues and they actually programmed in what we needed.

Avantages

There are many great parts about WinPharm from a pharmacy owner and user perspective. First, this system has been around a while and is very intuitive to use from receiving, inputting, filling, dispensing and selling a prescription. It was increadibly easy to train the staff on how to use the software. Additionally, we didn't have to pay for all sorts of integrations such as, fax, e-scribing, text messaging, POS...it is all included at an exceptional competitive pricing. We also love the fact that if we need support help that we can call and talk to a live person immediately.

Inconvénients

Really there is not much to dislike about the software. The only thing I can think of is that the interface does look a bit "older", but there is just so much I like as an owner and user of the software.

Best platform around!

Inventory management is much easier and saves a lot of time and energy with Winpharm.

Avantages

The dashboard is extremely useful. All staff members can easily monitor the dashboards to see which queues need to be worked on. With early preparation, our transition was pretty smooth. Another feature we like is our ability to message the doctors for new or refill prescriptions.

Inconvénients

I am not a fan of windows based software. It is more efficient to use software that does not require windows or using a mouse.

Feature rich application

The software does it is supposed to. Runs without hiccups or interruptions. The people behind the scenes are very professional and a delight to work with.

Avantages

The best part of running this software is the people and philosophy they carry. From sales, onboarding, engineering, billing to support departments, all of the teams are very helpful. They genuinely want to figure out ways to assist and make the application adapt to business needs. We have engaged with Winpharm on several occasions looking for assistance or ideas for change. Once we are set in workflow, the software cruises on auto-pilot. No issues or need for constant engagement.

Inconvénients

The experience has been great. No concerns or complaints. They are busy helping so many clients that sometimes things can take time but they are also very good about prioritizing key items to avoid delays.

WinPharm

Avantages

The simplicity of the software allows for much faster processing time of prescriptions. Very user friendly system that can be customized to the needs of the pharmacy. The support team is great as well and really work with the pharmacy to resolve any issues or make improvements to the software.

Switched to Datascan 2 years ago

We are very satisfied with our hardware and software through Datascan. Refill management, automatic faxes/emails to dr's. Ability to run reports to check on the financial side of the business. Everything is pretty easy to use, and if you can't find it, tech support is usually quick and responsive.

Avantages

We were running an old DOS based system that had been bought and sold 3 times in the previous 10 years. When looking for a new system we vetted and Demo'ed at least 10 systems, narrowed it down to 3. Datascan offered the best combination of functionality, pricing, ease of use, aesthetics, and service. Very easy system to use, same service technicians on the phone when issues arise, and if you email the owner of the company he will answer you personally.

Inconvénients

We haven't encountered any longstanding issues, sometimes an update will make an unintended change, but those seem to be few and far between, and fixed right away.

Great service from smaller company

Avantages

Ease of use, frequent updates, very affordable compared to the competition. On site training and installation included in cost. Problems usually fixed within minutes of calling. Windows based, so keeps hardware costs down. Highly recommended!

Inconvénients

Somewhat buggy, but most issues solved quickly. Doesn't play well with Windows 10. Some service technicians are better than others - often quality of service depends on who answers the phone

We have hundreds of systems out there working very well --so if your experiencing problems, please contact Brian in our offices and go over them. The system should not be 'buggy' at all unless it has to do with custom program changes that are being beta tested in a live environment.

Would like some more windows.

Avantages

It's simple to use and straightforward. It is geared towards pharmacist unlike other products that also have nursing department options incorporated which make them bulky. Getting in touch with the helpdesk is super easy. Much appreciated.

Inconvénients

Not enough windows. Would like to be able to work on more than one patient at a time. Would also like additional report options.

Customer Service is the best of "ALL" customer service that I have used.

ability to process patients medications.

Inconvénients

Sig coding , takes a long time to remember them, other softwares just start typing and give you options to finish the doctor's instructions . Lack of financial reporting, I would like the ability to make reporting most profitable medications, medications that are not moving, monthly, quarterly and yearly profit reports.

SIMPLE TO USE, LOW MONTHLY FEES, AND LOW UP FRONT COST. GREAT CUSTOMER SUPPORT AS WELL

VERY EASY TO LEARN AND IF I HAVE ANY QUESTIONS LOGAN AND THE CREW ARE THERE WITH THE ANSWER. MY UP FRONT COST AND MONTHLY FEES WERE MUCH LOWER THAN THE BIG NAME SOFTWARE VENDORS AND WINPHARM HAS BASICALLY THE SAME FEATURES FOR 1/2 THE COST OR LESS. USING DATASCAN WAS A NO BRAINER FOR US. THERE IS NOTHING THAT I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LIKE ABOUT THE SOFTWARE. HOWEVER THERE ARE ALWAYS THINGS THAT WOULD SUIT SOME OF US A LITTLE BETTER. WE ARE A SPECIALTY PHARMACY AND DISPENSE A HIGH VOLUME OF NARCOTICS. IT WOULD BE A TIME SAVER IF WINPHARM WAS ABLE TO SEAMLESSLY CHECK OUR STATES PDMP WHILE FILLING NARCOTICS.

We absolutely agree about a link to state PMP's --but the limitation comes from the states systems. Until they allow us to synchronize we are limited --but we look forward to that opportunity as well.

WINPHARM, ON A 5 STAR SCALE THESE GUYS GET 10 STARS FROM US

The technical support/customer service is number 1 as far as I'm concerned and compared to other software vendors that I've dealt with over a 17 year span. The techs are polite, friendly, and answer the phones in seconds. 99.5% of issues are resolved the same day within hours, the other 0.5% the following day. I should note that I have been a satisfied Datascan customer for over 10 years and they make improvements to the software constantly. I think that the Winpharm program is excellent in it's layout, ease of use, and dependability. People who have never worked with Winpharm learn the software pretty quickly. The program updates automatically, so it's always up to date and that makes my life easier. In our store Winpharm is linked with the POS, also from Datascan, and gives us additional features that make the everyday tasks a snap, or a click, such as viewing which Rx's were picked up and customer signatures.
