Microsoft OneNote is a digital note taking app that can be accessed via Android, Chrome, Windows, iOS and Mac devices. The solution is well-suited for individuals attending numerous meetings per week and working on multiple collaborative projects.
OneNote offers deep search functionality for all notes stored in its database. Users can also store and organize audio recordings that are in a searchable format and can be integrated with other Microsoft Office products.
OneNote allows users to take handwritten notes with the help of a stylus or fingertip and can also convert these notes to digital text. Important ideas or points can be highlighted by using various shapes and colors.
The solution has the ability to embed other Microsoft Office files into a note. They can then be easily edited by OneNote users. OneNote offers cloud-based storage and allows users to easily toggle between separate but synced up enterprise and personal accounts.

I'm completely dependent on OneNote. It's so easy to use and flexible, it holds every project in my life now, from planning out and organizing 60 slide competitor analysis presentations, to scheduling recipes for meal plans. It plays well with the other products, and unlike Word, I've never had a problem with syncing conflicts and generating unnecessary backup local copies, and I have yet to lose a single word of work. In fact, for one of my books, I didn't use Word at all and ended up doing all the chapters in the same planning pages I kept in OneNote. It's my secret weapon when it comes to brainstorming and organization and I can't believe more people don't use it, but then again, I am a more visual/creative person, so the ability to quickly throw notes or record a message and be able to arrange, sort or search and actually find it later is vital. Years ago, I used to use Springpad, and since then, I've tried Trello, Evernote, and all kinds of apps, but nothing has stuck.
Very few, it's so flexible it fills in a lot of gaps. I'd like it to be more visually customizable, like if you could add a backdrop of a chart or table similar to the Stormboard templates. Right now it just has a few pastel colors and lined and gridded paper types.

I use it for note taking during meetings. I can upload screenshots or pictures, charts and graphs, etc. and share them with anyone.
It is an amazing app for taking notes, screenshots, pictures, or anything for that matter. It lets you organize them however you want, in folders, etc. After taking notes or whatever, it stores it in the cloud so you can access it from anywhere.
Nothing really. It was rough to get started, but anything new always is. After messing around with it for a day or so, I was able to jump right in and utilize the app to my needs.

Overall OneNote has been super useful for me as I work very closely with a couple individuals in our office in a neighboring state to where I work. This allows us to share our notes and such with each other with ease and it has streamlined a lot of collaboration efforts.
This software is so easy to use and I can use it across multiple devices so it does not matter if I am at my desk or visiting a jobsite I can access, edit, and use my notes from my phone, iPad, laptop...
I do not have a lot of complaints about this software the only real issues I have ever had with it has had to do with connecting to shared notebooks but they never have been lasting issues that we have not been able to relatively quickly resolve with our IT dept.

Great old-school style application with a slew of collaborative uses, but is easily replaced with a bit of training and knowledge of other products available even within the Office suite. Does make a good place to generate a simple KMS type storage space with shareable information, but limited on the functionality sets within. Terrific matured tool with imaginative ideas if not seeking a long learning curve or difficult implementation or collaboration.
- Ease of Use is the biggest plus of this product from Microsoft
- Easily deployed with every current version of home and business based Office 2013 and above.
- User training is extremely minimal as the functionality is otherwise limited to a word based document sharing site.
- Available to all members of an office 365 license allowing Teams integration (otherwise the better product offering)
- Limited functionality unless integrated into other products/applications (SharePoint, Microsoft Teams)
- Matured but outdated in its uses. More of a Task List or notes maintainer.
- Shareable storage is a nice have, but is easily replaceable with slew of other product sets today (OneDrive, DropBox, Teams, Etc.)

I use to hand write all my notes and then be left with a ton of note books that were not easy to organize or access the information. Now I bring a lap top or IPad with me to meetings and type up my notes that I can organize and access easily after the meeting.
It's easy to organize my notes that I take down from meetings. This makes it a breeze when referencing back to those notes.
Occasionally OneNote will "lock" up on me so that I am not able to access. I will have to restart OneNote and sometimes that does not work.
