One of the most practical for profitability tracking
It does what I need it to do and for a price that is worth it.
Again, tracking project profitability is my main reason to use it.
Avantages
The main reason I chose Productive was to be able to track the profitability of each project, by assigning a cost by ressource (employee) and tracking billing + expenses on each project.
The reporting and customizable dashboard are very appreciated features.
I also like the fact that we can email directly to a deal to add entries in the crm.
I also like the Notion type documents. Could have more options though
Inconvénients
- The CRM is a bit basic. Notes and followups could be more intuitive and organized.
- The navigation inside the app is not always clear and I found myself often searching for the way to get to where I need.
- When adding time outside the dates of a budget, the error preventing me from adding it was annoying. I would have prefferred a warning and be able to choose to add it anyway.
- I'd like to be able to quickly create a task from the time tracking entry on the calendar view if I found myself on working on something that was not initially listed.
- Managing billing and budget is not user friendly, especially when pre-selling hours.

Everything You Need in One Smart Platform
Avantages
Productive is a tool that brings together an efficient task management system, resource allocation, time tracking, leave request management, budgeting, and CRM under one roof. By integrating all these tools, it provides excellent reporting capabilities and real-time insights into project and company performance.
Inconvénients
It is incredibly modular and rich in data, but for this reason, it can be a bit intricate and not very user-friendly at first. However, with time and some practice, this initial learning curve can be overcome.

We've used several tools for our agency and never really found what we were looking for. It's a big commitment for an agency like us to switch from one tool to another. This doubt is now something of the past.
Avantages
The balance between flexibility and clarity is so much on point in Productive. We've used a lot of tools before that claim to be flexible but where we eventually hit a major roadblock for our business. On the other hand, we have used more complex tools too but those lack clarity very often. For us, Productive is perfectly on the crossroad of these two very important aspects.
Inconvénients
Sometimes, we think about a feature that would be nice to have and isn't there yet. But almost always, we find it back in the roadmap. A roadmap that is transparent and doesn't overpromise, which we like!

Great tool and amazing customer service
Great tool to manage agency projects, time sheets, finances. Easy to navigate and easy as well as super fast to get someone to help if having difficulties finding anything.
Avantages
Very efficient and user friendly tool that caters a broad aspect of agencies' needs: project management, time logs, budgeting, reporting, etc. Amazing customer service (kudos to [sensitive content hidden])!
Inconvénients
It would be great if it was not as expensive, but it's worth it.

Great tool for keeping track of activity
I enjoy it. The strongest point is the UX-design, how easy it is to use.

TIme reporting, it always assumes current day as default. My suggestion is: If there's time report missing for previous days, use the oldest missing day as default.

It's an essential tool and an all-in-one platform that is crucial for cross-collaborative work of our teams. We rely heavily on the information that we enter and use via Productive
Avantages
Productive features such as time tracking, time logs, scheduling and planning are crucial for optimized work of a IT development agency.
Inconvénients
Analytics, Project planning, Sales board and 3rd party Integrations could be improved but those are minor things compared the value that Productive brings

Productive IS productive!
I've used a fair few platforms in my career and Productive stands above them all. I will recommend it to any businesses that I will go on to work for in the future.
Avantages
The seamless cross functionality in Productive, from budgets to resourcing, makes it of the top platforms I've used so far in my career.
Inconvénients
I would like more customisation in the resourcing view. For example, I would like to be able to reorder the resources on the left panel instead of the alphabetical order that is locked there now.

An amazing tool that integrated our process seamlessly
It has been great. The team can have a bigger picture of the projects we're working on and we can quickly predict and assign tasks to everyone.
Avantages
The time tracking for each team member combined with the project management.
Inconvénients
For me, it still needs a lot of back and forwards between the menus to execute some tasks. But it's not something critical.

The most feature-rich, easy to use PM we've ever used
Overall, we are extremely happy with this tool. We tested 30 other products before committing to this, and its the best business decision we've made.
Avantages
We became an early client of these folks a few years ago. They are constantly rolling out new features, including a lot of specific requests we've made to them. They ALWAYS respond to our requests and update us on their status. They have, far-and-away, the most responsive customer service of any SAAS product we subscribe to. And the product is head and shoulders above any of the other tools we used over the years (we've trued dozens including all the big ones you've heard of)
Inconvénients
It's meant to be an end-to-end solution for small-ish agencies. So beyond project management, there's financial reporting, invoicing, expense tracking (including Quickbooks integration), and sales tracking. The Sales tool is probably the least developed. It works great, and we use it, but it would be nice if it were more tightly integrated with the rest of the tool so revenue forecaster would be more accurate. There are a number of customization features, so were able to cobble together an adaquate tool (we previously used both Salesforce and Hubspot)

A great tool for agency work
Avantages
Productive is a very powerful tool covering basically all the tasks and processes related to project management, account management, reporting, planning of resources, managing the sales pipeline and many more.
It feels very modern and easy to use with really powerful features. Also, the product is constantly being improved with an active customer service.
Inconvénients
It takes some time to really onboard everyone and use it as a day to day tool. But that would probably be the case with every new tool introduced to the organization. Thus, not all the features must be used or be introduced at the same time.

Scheduling is till pretty hard, and you can't track hours on sales efforts for a client wihout making a project.

(Small) Still fine tuning in some areas, so not everything is perfect , but lots of roll out of good updates which shows its only going to get better

A growing tool that grows with you
Avantages
I love that you can use it from time capturing to project and task management .
The tool is not perfect, but it allows you to provide feedback and ask for things that are necessary for your business to grow. Staff support is 100%! Thanks for all you do Productive and for all your fast responses.

It's not perfect, but it is learning from our needs. I know it will grow into an all-in-one tool.

My main issue in the past with other software was that they were too complex, had too many features or had too much of a learning curve. Productive on the other hand is easy to get your head around and start working with from day one.
Our team has now been using Productive for almost 2 months and we're active on it daily. The main features we use are creating sales (which is essentially leads), creating projects (in our case new client projects), calculating project costs, creating tasks and assigning them to team members and sharing the project with clients via the dashboard.
What's more is that Productive have outstanding customer service, I actually just received a letter in the mail today written by their team which proves they're ready to go above and beyond for their users.
Lastly, their price point is unbeatable. The Pricing page says it all and compared to the other software out there, Productive is easily the best value for money.

Inconvénients
the ability to easily create a report when a employee goes 'over budget' or 'over estimate' it counts as billable hours and not as over budget hours (those are not billable) - but you can create a custom report (takes a couple minutes) but would still help me out a lot

Schedule option is great too, and I like and use a lot of custom tags.
Inconvénients
Boards. Let's say, one project has 5 boards, and when moving tasks from one board to another, I don't know where does it go. It's easy if I'm the owner of the project, but when I'm doing some things in other project, I just don't know where to put it. Suggestion - maybe when the user is in one board, he can just see task lists from that board?

It's an OK Product
I think it is great for the overall management of project and tracking time, but as I stated above not great for fixes on the conversion end.
Avantages
It has a great option to track your time management per project which is great for reporting purposes.
Inconvénients
I am the tester for our conversions and there is not a good way for the conversion person and me to see what has not been done on fixes for our conversion and what I need to test. We used Jira for this in the past and it was a much better tool for us in this capacity.

Avantages
I love the time tracking, budgeting, reporting, invoicing features. From a managers standpoint, this software covers all our business needs. The reporting system gives us an in-depth review in terms of cost/ revenue structure, profitability, time spent, project success, employee utilization etc. The data really helps us make better business decisions.
Inconvénients
Our developers struggle using the task management feature, and we're currently developing a new framework that can easily be used in Productive.
