ROLLER is the One-Stop-Shop For Ticketing and Event Management

If you're reading this, you're on your 2nd or 3rd attempt to find a ticket management system. We tried many, many solutions over the years and nothing compares to Roller. You'll find that as you implement, features you thought you wouldn't use become easy additions. The scheduling and time-based ticketing is powerful and will meet your needs. The online checkout, which is very mobile friendly, is a great experience for guests. Yes, Roller will cost you a monthly service fee in a world where most ticket vendors make their money on CC processing fees, but it's worth it. It's a premium system that will elevate your venue. I've implemented it twice now for clients (One Theatre and One Theme Park) and it performed flawlessly.

Avantages

Roller is the complete package, the total and real deal. It's easy to use, and has everything you need to run a small ticketed event (Roller Lite) all the way up to a complete Theme Park (Roller Pro).

Inconvénients

There is currently an ability to securely store credit cards for membership, but not for regular guest tickets. It would be helpful for our business as we frequently upgrade tickets and need to collect payment often over the phone. The Android app for checkin isn't the best and we opted to use Microsoft Surface devices instead.
The UI is amazing, but it cannot be viewed on mobile devices and doesn't allow you to print a booking screen without first exporting it to PDF.

Fantastic product all Rolled into one.

Overall I'm very happy with Roller as its allowed us to have complete control all in one package, where as previously we used multiple products.

Avantages

The main thing that sold Roller to me was the ability to sell multiple sessions and still have the sessions in the "break time" up for sale, this opened our available sessions and instantly made a difference to our capacity. The fact Roller is the POS, online booking and payment solution all rolled into one, where previously we used multiple different softwares to achieve. The money I saved in transactions from using Stripe off set the monthly cost of Roller which came with additional benefits.

Inconvénients

At present roller can't send the gender API to our timing software which means our categorised leaderboards don't work correctly without manually having to change every customers profile. "Please Fix!"

Better more flexible alternatives available

Difficult & inflexible to deal with. Inflexible and slow to pass on funds through their payment system.

Avantages

Inflexible arrangements & quite an arrogant approach to the market. There are now more flexible workable offerings available from other providers. We will not be renewing.

Inconvénients

They hang onto your money and i suspect invest in short term money markets

Positive Experience

The experience has been positive so far. The system has met all of our interim needs.

Avantages

Simple user interface for venues
Clear directions in help centre
Frequent addition of new features
Interface for venues not only end user

Inconvénients

Response times on some tickets have been lengthy
Unable to text/email tickets sold at POS to a customer phone for scanning at a later date. We had to use physical ticket stock to combat this
Fixed confirmation email template, inability to fully customise to a single event series or product
Very limited function in check in app

Good system but cold be a great system!

Loved it to start with, i could have worked for roller I was so enthused by the system however that energy and delighted is no longer there, unable to get to discuss real but small changes needed to elevate this system into something that is a one stop shop for smaller organisation. In Ireland there are abound 250 small attractions that need a one stop shop and I would not recommend Roller presently but am aware the right solution does not exist, you are close but not there.

Avantages

The key reason I chose roller was how easy it was to use from a staffing point of view, if our internal customers could not use or it took too much time then this was not the right system for us. Roller offered us potential a one stop shop, I had hoped we would have the last few fixes needed done by now.

Inconvénients

Not having a dedicated person to help and get results on important challenges we face with Roller. 1 year in you also need to offer up training on reports etc, online zoom type training session.

Inexpensive but hare to use.

It has been a mostly negative experience for myself, my team, and many of my customers.

Avantages

The cost is the reason we are still with roller.

Inconvénients

You probably won't want to use my review. I find roller much more difficult to use that other software we have used.
The price point is the only reason we are still using roller. Because it is less expensive than other platforms we deal with the difficulties it presents. I think it is confusing for our customers. The reporting causes us much grief. We have not been able to find good customer support. I think the time difference makes it a little hard. People are nice once we get a hold of someone.
The new progressive checkout is causing us lots of stress. It just doesn't work with how we have been doing things. We still aren't sure how we will make it work and I think it will cost us some customers because it is hard on the check out side. We get so many calls from customers that we have to help through buying the tickets. I don't always feel sorry for my employees that are using it all the time. The feel frustrated a lot.
I'm sorry this is so negative. However, I own a business and I appreciate honest feedback from customers. I am letting you know this as if you changed a few things I think your system would be much better. I know that's easier said than done.

All in one product

Overall, very positive, it is always good to see Roller is trying to update itself and open to receive feedback

Avantages

One software which does our products, stock, gift cards. We were using multiple softwares in the past to do the same thing which they were not integrated as well.

Inconvénients

Some functionality is missing like moving sessions on POS, integration with Volare for karting purposes.
updates on corporate packages as it is more customized rather than the fixed schedule like parties.

Avantages

Roller is a great system with a great team behind it. Their customer support is superb and the functionality within Roller works great!

Inconvénients

I wish there was a bit more customization available, but overall I like everything about Roller.

Honest Review

Overall, I really enjoy using the platform. It’s easy for my team to use the POS, the waiver kiosk does its job, and the venue manager and online checkouts are great.

Avantages

Visually, Roller is superior to our previous system. Both the POS and Venue Manager are simplified and easy to “sift through.”

Inconvénients

There are bugs that seem to pop up regularly. A schedule will suddenly be missing a ticket variation or a POS button suddenly disappears and then reappears before we can figure out why.

The one and only

I Love to Work with ROLLER. Im really Happy all Problems could be solved in the past within a short period. The 24/7 Hotline is perfect for any critial bug

A big Feature Range which can handle every venue Business.
The Support ist amazing i really Love the contact to the Support they do an amazing Job.

Inconvénients

For Germany venues is has much workarounds to Deal with its Not yet translated in the Backend.
I Hope for more Features that also Covers German vendors Like DATEV or better invocing

RIVERSPORT Review

A breeze to use- highly recommended

I use Roller every morning and nearly every evening to manage staff across several branches round the country.

Avantages

Great layout. Things are really easy to find and super easy to understand and therefore, teach other staff about.

Inconvénients

Sometimes account get sent to areas they aren’t allowed to access despite not trying to access them. This seems like a relatively simple bug.

So great!!

Quick and easy and efficient. User friendly.

Avantages

All the aspects of our business are now in one place. From birthday parties to general check in and also memberships.

Inconvénients

When you're in roller and checking people into a party, you can't put the names alphabetically. They only appear as you enter them in. There should be a way for us to select a setting so it puts them in alphabetical order.

Flexible fields please.

Implementation and training happen to those in charge of purchasing roller and much of what we do on a daily basis we had to figure out on our own with trial and error. Currently my confidence that we are doing it most efficiently is low.

Avantages

pricepoint. We have a unique application and it doesn't always fit what we need, but niether does anyone. So if we have a product that doesn't exactly do what we need at least we can have a less expensive one.

Inconvénients

The fields on forms are not very smart. For example when entering a phone number you must enter it in one and only one way or the form is rejected.

BWP front entrance

Great. But sometimes the end of day money doesn’t balance through roller even though manually it is correct

Easy to click a product and price. It also tells you the change and you can take dual payments.

Inconvénients

It often freezes when it needs updating in the middle of the day

Understanding the Industry

I have developed a really strong relationship with many of the team members at ROLLER from various departments and areas. This has allowed for a symbiotic relationship between our business and theirs resulting in a great partnership.

Avantages

ROLLER definitely do their research and take on feedback when it comes to platform developments. This is very obvious in their pipeline section where customers can not only vote on development work that is important to them but also suggest new items that if deemed appropriate will be reviewed and added to the pipeline.

Inconvénients

I do have to manage some unique workarounds to export ticket data to provide third party resellers with the ability to embed our ticket media into their ticket format.

Avantages

Love that it is a cloud based system and VERY easy to use with 24 hour support. The transition from our previous POS was easy and the set up was done in partnership so we knew how it works. The system has gone through numerous updates/upgrades which as driven through customer feedback. There are help/support articles for everything you need and a team member available to support with a phone call or support ticket.

Inconvénients

Change .... as humans change is hard no matter how complex or simple it can be. Our team was reluctant to change as we were comfortable with our previous POS but overall we are glad we have transitioned.

The system is upgrading/getting new developments which means there is small changes periodically but overall they are always for the best.

Fishing for new customers

I think the experience has been very good, it works, no shutdowns or crashes, we can sell our attractions and customer support is there for you when needed.

Avantages

I love roller as I can add our own graphics and text to advertise our products.
I love the ease of sending passes. the digitization is so easy and helpful.

Inconvénients

I think setting up some of the events and schedules is pretty complex....yet I am yet to see a system that has figured this out too, so complex but after some time you can work it out.

Planet Golf

Avantages

The ease of use of this product is a key feature for our business. Combined with the onboarding support from Roller which was excellent. I felt supported throughout this journey. To be honest we haven’t needed roller since this point as the system has worked flawlessly, but I know they are there if required

Inconvénients

None to report. The initial setup is a little pricey but long term worth it

A Step Forward

Fantastic onboarding and customer service. Very quick to respond (within a few hours usually) to an enquiry. They walk you through everything in the programme and there online resources and troubleshooting cover 90% of the follow up questions we had.

Avantages

Alignment of our POS and Online sales was the key driver, especially post Covid so we could manage attendance. We had a number of demonstrations and while some other products were more powerful, Roller offered the core elements and an intuitive system. They also offer a variety of solutions so you don't pay for what you don't need.

Inconvénients

Like any new system you have to learn the different aspects of the software. It can be confusing at the beginning as there are a number of things you have to set up before you begin loading products etc. Also once you begin to use it you start to realise there may have been a simpler way of doing something and it can be quite a process to go back and change all the different areas but this is an issue you will have with any system like Roller.

All Visitor Attractions Need Roller

Avantages

Roller is easy to use, has loads of useful features and is very customisable to fit most requirements for visitor attractions. The integrations and API connectivity helps to link other systems.

Inconvénients

Costly add ons such as the mobile check in device. The app should work as well with any android device.

Easy, Fast and efficient

Roller has allowed us to fully go online. With all parties and jump sessions going online boasting our income from customers who are now able to book their favourites any time!

Avantages

Roller allows easy modification to best suit your venue and business. From the moment of talking with CSR, we were sold on what the system could do. Our project manager, has been excellent in helping build the software to support our business. All issues have been resolved super fast, and with a direct line of communication from the start. The fully customizable customer checkouts is a massive PLUS!

Inconvénients

Whilst modifications are easier to do than a lot of other softwares, I do feel as though this came at a cost of how much modification you can do.

Best software on the market for entertainment facilities!

I'd give ROLLER a 10 out of 10. It's smooth, experience friendly and can be reconfigured in a matter of minutes if need be. Most of the support articles have helped me get through my struggles, the onboarding process was clear and concise, and our sales and onboarding team was professional and timely. Would definitely recommend.

Avantages

ROLLER software is very user friendly, simple to understand and train employees on, and allows a ton of customization for our branding and needs.

Inconvénients

I'm not a huge fan of the phone/email support offered. I would like to be able to pick up the phone and call someone to quickly resolve my issue, however, the only options are to leave a message for a call back or submit a support ticket. That being said, often times the website support articles and topics have come in very handy when applicable to my issue.
