J'ai utilisé Oracle Database dans le cadre des projets d'applications web et mobile, il faut dire que Oracle Database est un SGDB, très robuste et adapter à plusieurs types de projets peu importe la taille

Inconvénients

L'inconvénient majeur d'Oracle Database est que sa prise en main requière des connaissances techniques assez avancée

Le coût du logiciel est vraiment très élevé.
Les alternatives Open Source comme MySQL, PostgreSQL et MongoDB a été le basculement.
En plus d'être coûteux, le logiciel est très complexe à utiliser.
Enfin... On est dépend d'Oracle .. Donc pas trop de flexibilité pour l'Entreprise.

In general, Oracle licensing is complex; A lawyer will most likely be essential during negotiations, as Oracle's license terms are complicated.

Oracle Database has been my number one choice when teaching enterprise application development. Although it is a bit heavy and not that easy to deploy, students can get a lot of advantages learning a highly demanded DBMS platform that really adds a lot on their resume. The SQL concepts are easily tested against the database using the SQL Developer software. Moreover, JDBC drivers allow seamless integrations and very high performance when using Java to connect to the database on the client side, or when relying on the Java Servlets and Java Server Pages middleware on the Application server. Using Oracle with Java based technologies was definitely a very compatible option that simplifies and speeds up the development process.

Inconvénients

As stated, Oracle is not very easy to install and configure by novice developers. It is a bit heavy on low end devices.

I liked that the system offered a convenient way to view all of your customer data and it was easy to navigate the system as a beginner which made it easy to train new employees.

We can make the font size bigger, add some more color and space it out a bit more so that visually it is more appealing. After a few hours of working looking at the font caused some slight headaches.

This is platform independent and can be installed in any OS(Windows, Linux ).

It supports CSV, Excel and Plain Text files for Uploading.

It also supports inbuilt AQ (Advanced queue) which can be used for event based applications.

Inconvénients

Licensing cost is not greatly affordable for smaller size companies.

Query performance is slow for tables which has millions of rows unless you optimize(tune) the query.

Oracle Customer Service response is not that friendly.

Having worked with Oracle Database as a DBA, I was satisfied with the functionalities, speed and overall performance of the tool. The multidimensional database enabled to design dynamic reports, and easily organize the data in excel. The sw dealt with large sets of data with an ease and rarely faced any outages / limitations.

Nothing to highlight here. If you know your database / you can easily navigate, retrieve, edit data. Excel add in also helped to share information with others on a regular / ad-hoc basis..

I have been working on the data warehouse projects using the oracle as warehouse database. It is easy to understand and loading into the oracle data base. We can create temp tables and backup tables on the fly for business calculations and remove after the data load into target tables.

I would recommend to use Oracle database to use for data warehouse projects.

I feel that if we can add fast export into files Like fast export and multi load processes. We do have this process in oracle using the bulk load too.
