What I really like is that the product is designed with a CFO mindset.
It is especially useful when you have multiple subsidiaries or as an investment firm if you have a big portfolio.
Especially the financial portfolio overview is very relevant for private equity firms.

Inconvénients

To be honest the look and feel is not on par with some of the more recent fintech startups, but that's it.

Avantages

Thanks to the significant amount of standard functionality available, Lucanet is easy-to-implement, easy-to-maintain, and easy-to-use! Good support desk, and competitive price (license) versus alternatives.

Inconvénients

The planning functionalities are to be developed further, which makes sense since Lucanet originally comes from the Consolidation side of the FP&A cycle.

Avantages

Lucanet is very intuitive and has a lot of features that enables us to improve consolidation- the Intercompany matrix to early identify i-c mismatch, easy import of fx rates, ability to upload the excel reporting for smaller entities. We also use it for consolidation of the budgets. It is very easy to upload the budget template by each subsidiary and have consolidated budget with one click. It is very useful to have a comparison at budgetary rates and actual rates.

Inconvénients

Still some problems exist that description of the booking is incorrect and for some unknown reason Lucanet takes from a different field. We also failed to properly integrate Lucanet with PBI as connectors to ERPs do not pick up data in the consistent manner.

Flexibility of the setup. New accounts can be added and moved very easily

Speed of data import can be slow if working remotely

The tool's user-friendliness. You can review P&L, BS & Cash Flow very fast and without transactions. Also you can create your own reports in lucanet with queries and directly in excel with the add in. It was a great advance in our reporting

Graphs! Also there should exist the possibility to choose a group of cost centers in every consult instead of create an organization element. For example, if we want to check the EBITDA of a existing group excepting a couple of cost centers, like a pivot table.

I liked that LucaNet is a one stop shop for businesses looking to improve their financial budgeting and overall financial growth.

Lucanet is a user friendly consolidation and reporting tool. The icons on the top of the screen are giving a user the possibility to present the figures in the way you want. Data can be easily imported (via Excel/interface) and data can be exported out of Lucanet directly (export icon), via Lucanet value formula or via templates. There are predefined overviews, but you can also prepare overviews (for example a internal reporting P&L) yourself. In Lucanet different data levels can be used to make comparisons between for example actual and budget figures. Adjustment levels can be used to make a distinction for example between the source figures and annual report figures.To collect the figures from the companies, the data collection tool Group report can be used. This tool is a pre defined environment where figures need to be reported and where rules related to the figures can be defined. Furthermore on group level a dashboard is available to see the status of the local reporting figures.

Inconvénients

Lucanet has the possibility to forecast/budget Balance Sheet positions based on accounting rules, but this is a bit difficult to understand how this exactly works especially taking into account the development of the closing balance of the actuals in the forecast.

Avantages

Lucanet is an excellent tool for financial reporting requirements. Its chart of accounts, general ledgers, budget, forecast and variance analysis capabilities are very good. Users require very little training before using the program. The data can be exported and dashboards can be created by external tools such as Microsoft Excel.

Inconvénients

The front end of Lucanet is simple but a better GUI view could have been prepared. The data quality relies on the source ERP systems therefore the mapping between accounts should be well prepared.

Schnelle und unkomplizierte Integration der Software. Durch den hohen Grad an Automatisierung konnte der Zeitaufwand für die Erstellung des Group Reporting deutlich reduziert werden. Das Programm ist sehr benutzerfreundlich und kann, ohne die IT-Abteilung, eigenständig und flexibel bedient werden. Das vollintegrierte System sowie die Prüfmöglichkeiten haben zu einer Erhöhung der Datenqualität geführt.

Inconvénients

Die Einführung der Software hat für unser Unternehmen nur Vorteile gebracht.

die hohe Flexibilität hat auch seine Nachteile in der Abschlusserstellung, die Daten können sich nachträglich noch verändern. Dies wird aber aufgrund der vielen Vorteile gerne in Kauf genommen

Wir brauchen für viele Funktionen die beworben wurden extra Skripts oder Apps. Vor Allem am Anfang sind wir oft daran gescheitert, weil wir Skripte brauchten von denen wir nichts wussten oder die nicht offensichtlich waren.

Intuitive Anwendung, Belegbuchungen einfach, Viele Möglichkeiten, eigenes Reporting zu erstellen

- in der Planung muss noch schneller aufgeholt werden. Planung in LucaNet geht gut, aber es muss noch detaillierter gehen. Hier haben andere Programme in den letzten Jahren wesentlich mehr investiert- teilweise sehr von Support abhängig, da kein selbständiger Zugriff möglich. Somit teilweise immer Zeitversatz da auf Support-Antwort gewartet werden muss

Avantages

Ich nutze seit fast 10 Jahren Lucanet und bin von der Software begeistert. Sie ist sehr intuitiv zu bedienen und man kann sehr viele Dinge selber einstellen und anlegen ohne jedes Mal einen Berater um Hilfe zu bitten. Die Software ist sehr zuverlässig, funktionell und korrekt.

Inconvénients

Die Reaktionszeit des Supports ist leider in letzter Zeit schlechter geworden. Ich vermisse ein Änderungsprotokoll für die Zuordnungstabellen im Group Report, so dass man genau sehen kann, welche Konten von den lokalen Gesellschaften neu zugeordnet wurden bzw. welche Zuordnungen geändert wurden.

Avantages

Software ist sehr schlicht gehalten, und erfüllt all meine Anforderungen. Sei es im Monatsreporting oder im Budgetierungsprozess.

Inconvénients

Bei Elementen wir Dekonsolidierung gehe ich auf den Berater zu. Hier fehlt mir die Routine.
