### "Powerful Ecosystem, High Overhead: A Honest Look at Dynamics 365" — 5.0/5

>
> Conversation with Gemini
What did you like most about Dynamics 365?
Microsoft Dynamics 365 stands out for several key capabilities that make it a compelling platform for organizations:

Unification of CRM and ERP: Breaking down the barrier between customer-facing functions (sales, marketing, customer service) and back-office operations (finance, supply chain, HR) on a common data model (Microsoft Dataverse) is a major strength. You get end-to-end operational visibility without relying on fragile, custom integrations.
Momentive Software
+ 1

Native Microsoft 365 \& Power Platform Ecosystem Integration: Working directly within familiar productivity applications—such as tracking emails and creating sales opportunities directly inside Outlook, sharing records in Teams, or extending workflows using Power Automate and Power BI—eliminates app-switching fatigue and speeds up adoption.
Momentive Software

Copilot \& AI Integration: Embedded Copilot capabilities and specialized AI agents reduce routine manual tasks—like drafting client emails, summarizing sales pipelines, tracking inventory changes, or automating service tickets.

Modular, Scalable Cloud Architecture: You can start with only the modules you need (e.g., Sales or Business Central) and scale or add capabilities as business requirements grow, keeping licensing costs predictable.
Velosio

Want to focus on a specific module, like Sales or Finance?

Yes
What did you like least about Dynamics 365?

While Microsoft Dynamics 365 is powerful, several persistent challenges often frustrate administrators and end-users:

Licensing Complexity \& Cost Overhead: Navigating Microsoft’s tier structures, base vs. attach licenses, and user minimums can be confusing. As organizations scale or require advanced capabilities across multiple modules, costs add up rapidly.

Steep Learning Curve \& Configuration Overhead: Because it is designed to cater to enterprise-scale needs, out-of-the-box setups rarely fit specific business workflows without substantial custom configuration, entity setup, or developer involvement.

Storage \& Data Quotas: Dataverse storage (database, file, and log capacity) can get expensive quickly as transactional data, activity histories, and attachments grow over time, leading to unexpected storage overage costs.

UI/UX Performance Lag: Despite continuous updates to the Unified Interface, users occasionally experience slower load times, complex menu navigation, and latency issues during heavy data processing or when running customized scripts.

Want to look into strategies for optimizing Dynamics 365 licensing costs?

Yes
Describe your overall experience with Dynamics 365

Overall, Microsoft Dynamics 365 is best characterized as a high-capability, enterprise-grade framework rather than a simple out-of-the-box software tool. Its value depends heavily on an organization’s size, technical maturity, and existing tech stack.
Dotsquares

The Core Strengths
Unification at Scale: Unifying CRM and ERP processes into a single ecosystem (powered by Microsoft Dataverse) eliminates data silos and provides a single source of truth across sales, customer service, operations, and finance.
1Rivet

Ecosystem Synergy: Its seamless integration with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel), Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate), and Copilot AI enables smooth workflow automation and familiar user adoption.
Dotsquares

Flexibility \& Extensibility: Its modular design means organizations can start with specific business units (like Sales or Business Central) and scale up capabilities as business logic demands.
ERP Software Blog

The Practical Friction
High Barrier to Entry: Getting full value out of the platform requires significant investment in implementation, change management, and customization. Out-of-the-box setups rarely suffice for complex real-world operations.
Dotsquares

Cost \& Overhead: Licensing models, add-on features, and Dataverse storage fees can compound quickly, making total cost of ownership (TCO) higher than initially anticipated.

Performance \& UX Dynamics: The enterprise scale of the platform can occasionally lead to complex UI navigation or latency issues when running custom, script-heavy processes.

### "Dynamic Tools with Dynamics 365" — 5.0/5

> **Eduardo** | *17 août 2026* | Construction | Taux de recommandation : 10.0/10
>
> **Avantages**: Dynamics 365 has been a really solid tool overall. I like how it brings different business functions together in one place, which makes keeping track of customers, tasks, and data much easier. The interface is pretty straightforward once you get familiar with it, and there are plenty of features to help streamline everyday work. It also feels flexible enough to fit different business needs without being overly complicated. There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, but once you get the hang of it, Dynamics 365 can save a lot of time and make work feel much more organized.
>
> **Inconvénients**: One downside of Dynamics 365 is that it can feel a little overwhelming at first. There are so many features and settings that it takes some time to figure out where everything is and how to use it efficiently. It can also take a bit of effort to customize it for specific business needs. Once you get familiar with the system, though, it becomes much easier to use.

> **Avantages**: I'd definitely have to say that it's overall just really everything about it except for quite a few thing actually though.
>
> **Inconvénients**: I'd definitely have to say that it's overall really sometimes when i want it to perform certain actions it either takes to long or can't do it P.
>
> I'd definitely have to say that it's overall just really a very good app with the obvious drawbacks though.

### "Technically a CRM" — 4.0/5

> **Breanna** | *24 juin 2026* | Santé, bien-être et fitness | Taux de recommandation : 5.0/10
>
> **Avantages**: We use Dynamics for our CRM because it’s customizable. Dynamics is cost efficient for a larger company 20 employees or more. It supports sales tracking and member communications as well as classroom roster features. In that sense it does support communication between customers and staff and allows the team to effectively support customers.
>
> **Inconvénients**: It can be sometimes having a lot of bugs and we have a tech guy full time dedicated to looking after it.
>
> It is not user friendly. It does not have any visual cues options so it can make it easy for some errors to occur in billing and other transactions.

If you don’t need that then go for it.

Training new staff on it is difficult. You can’t customize your own roles view easily.

If you’re purely a back end automation user it’s pretty alright. It’s not really customer facing.

### "Useful Platform, but Takes Time to Learn" — 4.0/5

> **Utilisateur vérifié** | *16 août 2026* | Automobile | Taux de recommandation : 9.0/10
>
> **Avantages**: A strong point is having customer information, sales activity, and business processes connected in one system. It’s useful when you need to look back at previous interactions or see where something stands without checking several different places. The Microsoft integration is also convenient if your team already works with their other tools.
>
> **Inconvénients**: There’s definitely a learning curve. Some screens have a lot of fields and options, and simple things can occasionally take more clicks than expected. Getting reports or workflows exactly how you want them can also take some setup.
