For my research work, I have to analyze the data and visualize the results to showcase my research outcome. I always prefer to use software like Minitab for easily showing the output of experiment. It has enriched library and you can plot anything from your available data.

Inconvénients

Minitab is a lightweight software but sometimes you may face difficulty to handle large size data to plot. It got fridge sometimes to work with huge database of millions of information.

1. Minitab provides most of the functions in my daily work. For example, Design of Experiments, gauge R&R, ANOVA, distributions fitting, hypothesis tests, regression, Power and Sample Size, and Assistant.
2. I like the Assistant function the most because it can help me choose a proper approach to analyze a data set. The results from the Assistant reports are also easy to be understood and clear.
3. After each analysis, Minitab output results by text and figures. This can help me to understand the physical significance of the results and to report/visualize the data/results to my manager.

Inconvénients

Although Minitab outputs statistical results in plots and figures, the formats, fonts, and designs of the figures and the plots can be improved to be more aesthetic. Maybe Minitab's developing team can try to use more AI to improve the outputs of the plots and figures.

Avantages

Minitab offers a very good end user experience for descriptive and inferential analysis. Also minitab product help tutorials are very good and well explained that cover most of the possible doubts.
The interpretation of results that minitab provides on integral analysis like Capability analysis or hypothesis testing is very useful for sharing with management.

Inconvénients

*Developing scripts on minitab is not as intuitive as it should be so doing repetitive task can be a headache.
*Also querying data from an external data source could be easier, at this moment requires a well defined DSN file and adjusting filters on data to retrieve could be also easier.
*There are not enough modeling methods on minitab

During the four years of my university life, among all the other statistical softwares Minitab is the easiest and versatile statistical package I have ever used. Specially it is very affordable package for academics and requires less disk space as well as can be easily installed. It provides a comprehensive set of statistical features including; Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Hypothesis tests, Design of Experiments, Graphical analysis, Descriptive statistics, Correlation and Regression and etc. to perform wide variety of statistical analysis easily rather than using statistiacal codes in SAS.
When I am reading research papers I have experienced that many researchers use the latest version of Minitab to the analysis of their research data. Even for my undergraduate research I used Minitab for the analysis.

Actually I haven't experienced any kind of issue while I am performing Minitab yet.

For my last year, and also for my four years as a teacher, I used Minitab 19 for statistical analysis.

Minitab 19 is one of the most strong DOE, Regression, Hypothesis, Graphical, Process Capacities, and System Analysis measurement applications.

I saw no easy, productive program except Minitab. It must be accurate and optimistic for any type of data professionals and Minitab 19 is the resource that simplifies your work. You just need to provide the data in sheet form and pick the analytical type, provide control limits and limits, and in a couple of milliseconds, you can get more than you want.

Some concepts to perform regression and other analysis of the options make me confuse.

Minitab 19 is a major leap from previous versions. This tool has significantly improved the usability of more complex statistical analysis functions by improving the in-process teaching of correct application as well as background selection based off of data types. From simple to complex, Minitab is a powerful tool to gain accurate and rapid stochastic interpretation of your data.

Minitab is still stuck on this tabular Excel-type format. They need a UI overhaul of the data input screen vs the data analysis screen and should treat the two separately. The analysis tool is undersold in the current format.

The data visualization is beyond amazing. It is color-coded and in 3D. Regression analysis is included in the data analysis so it is easier to sort variables. There are a lot of statistical analysis available so this application is great for analyzing big and complicated data.

Inconvénients

The price is a bit high and licensing is difficult. When purchased for corporate use, you need to connect to the company's VPN in order to use it. You can't use it offline.

Avantages

Minitab helps me rapidly make the statistical analysis. It just requires basic level of statistics. You can easily copy the results to word file or print by simple clicking. The results are simple enough to be understood by non-experts. You can easily move columns and modify the data in worksheets.

Inconvénients

The graphs attraction is limited and generally we have to re-plot the data in another program.

The simplicity, interaction that help a new user to perform the data analysis and processing all the tasks related with Statistics, now they included the another tab option where you can handle several data sets in one project.

Inconvénients

I understand that they can include dedicated graphic panel for every tab, because currently you have all on them together and increase the chance for mistakes, and see if someone have the opportunity to shift the dataanalysis where you want in the field of the left.

Minitab has a lot of great features that are quite accessible with little to no training with the software. Obviously some level of statistical training is necessary to work any statistics software, but the user interface is simple and well guided. I was a big fan of this software for my statistical analyses when I was in undergraduate.

Inconvénients

The statistical tools are relatively basic. I believe there are competitors that can handle larger datasets more routinely and powerfully. For individual dataset analysis, this is a great tool, but to scale up and run a business around a software, there are solid competitors that can be upgraded to.

It is a really good software to do some statistical and exploratory data analysis for beginners. It get the basic job done like creating a normal distribution, box plots and also finding the P values.

It does not have a lot of features like the new softwares in the market today like R, Python etc. It should get a revamp to stay in this market.

I liked the fact that minitab is very user friendly and its very easy to use when learning the basics of data validation, analysis among other functionalities. The interface and functionalities resonate very well with most textbooks used by students so its easy to follow through the procedures.

Some of the output quality like graphs still not really up to like what you get with other softwares but looks like its being improved as the newer versions are coming
