Avantages

I was hired into a new job, and had sapling access day 1.
It was an amazing resource for me as a new hire. It gave me a plethora of information that was well organized, informative and very intuitive to use.

Inconvénients

I have not been using it very long, but no Cons so far!

Avantages

I love how customizable this platform is. It has evolved very quickly and the support team is super responsive. Each feature release provides new and improved ways for InVision to enrich our new hire experience.

Inconvénients

With so many releases being launched sometimes the platform slows down quite a but which can be a bit tough. Mainly because I relay on this platform so much so when it slows down, my workflow is interrupted.

Avantages

When everything is set up, Sapling allows for a pretty smooth workflow when hiring new hires for your company

Inconvénients

It feels like there are a few kinks to work out. I have seen issues where signed candidate documents are wiped, requiring new hires to resign the documents.

Avantages

I like that you can set the workflows to assign relative to start date, assigning tasks, sending out onboarding emails.

Inconvénients

Default email address first name last name without the period!

Avantages

Sapling makes HR interactions easy and it has tools for employees as well.
I love the custom workflow and organizational charts which are interactive and easy to use.
Sapling makes it easy for all employees to view clearly outlined policies and rules.
We can also view information on each departments projects or roles and their progress with each.

Inconvénients

Sapling bases your subscription price on the number of employees in your company rather than what features you use or how much data you store. Sapling does not offer a free trial or free version so that you can explore the product before you commit.
Sapling is web based and has no mobile app which is why I rated ease of use and ease of deployment a 3 out of 5.

Avantages

I like that I can see tasks easily and check things off. It is nice that everything can be linked so you can be directed straight to a different site

Inconvénients

I haven't used it enough to notice any cons yet. I like how easy it is to use and that I was able to learn it quickly

Avantages

The UI seems friendly and responsive. The design is solid and modern.

Inconvénients

Not very good at dealing with dropped connections (LTE hotspot, etc.)

Avantages

Very simple step by step process to complete the flow. Uploading and reviewing documents was very simple as well. The pages seem very well polished and look modern compared to other HR web apps I've used in the past.

Inconvénients

There are no error messages displayed for required fields and they can be hard to notice. Another improvement I would suggest is to split up some of the forms into multiple pages or have a way to save progress.

The process seemed light and too overbearing

Middle name can't be a required field. It took some time for me to figure the error in the form.
browsing Org chart was difficult. I was not able to research a person and go one level up

Avantages

Keeping all my paperwork in one place, organization of on-boarding is critical to success. The software did a great job of keeping all my ducks in a row as I got up to speed.

Inconvénients

Nothing at the moment. I don't have any real complaints at this point

Avantages

My favourite thing about Sapling is the ability to create customized onboarding journeys. Onboarding is so important to a company and Sapling enables you to create unforgettable experiences by automating the admin heavy side so that you can focus on creating a seamless/customised experiences.

Inconvénients

It's reporting, storage and analytics capabilities have a long way to go. As we scale, I question wether we will outgrow it as a HRIS due to these things mentioned.

Avantages

I love that the tool integrates seamlessly with Greenhouse and WorkforceNow, that it's easy to use, that it's visually appealing and customizable.

Inconvénients

It works great, unfortunately I need to enter 40 characters in this box.

Avantages

I love Sapling, the fact that the customers, employees and even suppliers can connect and work together through this program is definitely a pro.

Inconvénients

I love everything about sapling but I wish they could integrate office 365 and also sometimes you have to have a minimum 40 count even if you want to leave something blank.

I loved being able to check out the profiles of my future coworkers and see the organization mapped out by team.

Inconvénients

I wish I could have advanced past the "upload a photo" page to finish signing docs and inputting other text info and come back once I had a photo ready. I didn't have a photo on hand so I it paused my process and i had to walk away and come back to it days later.

Avantages

It has been easy to use out of the box. The time management piece is simplistic. The historical export of data from the previous provider seems to be working.

The company page also seems inviting for new employees, it is all branded well.

Inconvénients

The one thing I wish it had was a google calendar integration that allows you to add it to your own calendar and the company calendar after PTO has been approved. I feel like we had this from Zenefits, and it is a real pain to deal with.

The UI seems a bit dated.

Avantages

Pretty easy to use. Everyone who joins the company are required to use this, making it a good resource for finding anyone who is part of your workforce. Works best for me in getting more information on co-workers.

Inconvénients

Profile pictures used are very low resolution, and obscured unless you inspect elements in your browser's developer console. Not a usual case for most who will be using it, but is an issue for me. Otherwise can't actually think of any other issues with the software.

Avantages

It's laid out simply so it's easy to navigate to each area. I also love that I can see my entire team on here.

Inconvénients

Sometimes it was difficult to find a task again if I accidentally marked a task as completed when it wasn't.

Avantages

I really enjoy the ease of use. The UI covers all of the needed assets in order to complete my work in a timely manner.

Inconvénients

The one major issue I have is that Sapling logs me out far too quickly. I walk away from my desk for 5 minutes or so, and then I have to relog in.

Avantages

I love how easy it is to view your assigned tasks and see the progress of current tasks. I love how visually appealing the user interface is as well. It's very clean and easy to use.

Inconvénients

There is an issue with the search function that they still need to fix. Sometimes the search doesn't work.

Avantages

Love how easy it had made the on boarding process for new employees and for internal folks as well!

Inconvénients

Occasional bugs when using the software but the Sapling team is super responsive and quick to fix issues!

I thought this was very effective, clean, smart and suer friendly. I really enjoyed the pre-work prior to my first day. Streamlined, sexy and smart.

There was nothing I did not like about this software.

The software is very easy to use. I can easily find anything that is available.

Inconvénients

The webpage is sometimes slow to load. Also, the Team members component is a bit awkward to use when looking up multiple people: I cannot open a link (with a team member) in a new tab and must open each link in the same window. When I go back in history to the list, the page needs to reload itself and the pagination preference doesn't persist.

Avantages

I truly like the ease of usage and the ability to navigate seamless.

At this time, because of my optimal experience with Sapling, I don't see any cons or anything that needs improvement.

All of the docs I needed to review and then sign were right at my fingertips. The organization and presentation of these docs was great.

Inconvénients

I am on a personal crusade to have UX designers embrace full dark colors on a light background. The lighter colors may look cool, or even worse, white text on a light color, but those choices make items hard to read and easy to miss.

Avantages

I liked how I was able to connect with my coworkers, see recent new hires, see my work team and also connect to my company's intranet.

Inconvénients

I don't like that all the documents uploaded to the software needed to be in pdf format.
