Highly recommendable software for clinics and groups of clinics
Superb
Avantages
The specific reason for which I selected Pabau is that it has an excellent scheduling feature for multi clinic operations. This was an essential feature for me and is working flawlessly.
After that, the training is excellent, [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has been spectacular to help us get into the software.
Inconvénients
So far nothing really; I would make the CRM section a bit more comprehensive, nevertheless, as we can customise it, it is not an issue at all.

Pabau 2 is not working properly and causing lots of damage
I was happy with Pabau 1.However Pabau 2 was mandatory for all clinics and I was pushed to change it to it.
The software doesn’t work properly.Emails are disappearing from patients cards,you have to create services couple of time in order them to show in the software.I did create service myself 5 times and it still not possible to add it on the invoice.There are lots times when it is simply just not opening ,you have to reload page 10 times in order it to work.Absolutely horrible software.Contacted customer support lots of times,sent video about issues,since July no improvements.It cause massive disruption at work .Very disappointing.

Pabau 1 was good and easy.
There is nothing I like in Pabau 2 because it still needs to have lots of improvement

Amazing user-friendly software
Overall, I really like this software. This is a fantastic user-friendly software, Has loads of options that you can choose from. Also, you can make your own templates which makes it very easy to work on. Quick and easy templates that make your clinical job very easy. I have worked with many other softwares like Spectrum and SOCRATES Etc But I found this one quite helpful and easy

Initially induction, I was left on my own and it was quite frustrating. Also, the amount of time it took to set up and everything was not easy.

Poor, disapointing. The day the trainer was an hour late was a sign of things to come. Wish we would of never signed up

everything, literally nearly everything. I have to do all the programing, its clunky, not intuitive and built like the original MAC. Lack of integrations- terrible back end- snapshot or dashboard is nearly non existent.

Not for medical businesses
Software is ok but I don't think it's suitable for a serious medical business. Sometimes they mix up data so there is GDPR issue.

Reports are very good and flexible

Lots of features but lots of them breaks and not working properly
Support - it takes ages for them to understand your issue and ages to reply. They ask same questions again and again,
Too many technical issues at the moment and they are struggling to fix

Hi Richard - we serve over 2000 medical businesses world-wide, are HIPPA and GDPR compliant, and we have isolated databases, so the idea we can have a mix up, is simply not true. We often find that 'issues' are 99% of the time caused by staff not going through the full academy, via academy.pabau.com so please encourage everyone to do so.

Getting better......
Mixed bag. When it's good, it's great (just got into using the online Questionnaires and Consents, which were nowhere near as daunting as I thought they would be). The focus on client service has also greatly improved in recent times - the operators genuinely try to help, and are polite and courteous. The training webinars are a great idea too.
Avantages
The integration of various facets of running our practice.
Inconvénients
The down times, or the times when it lags significantly, which occur too often. Also, the basic SLA terms are limited, and even the more advanced SLA you can pay for only gives a certain (and fairly small) amount of cover. But of ocurse that wouldn't matter if there weren't downtimes, or slowness.

The benefits of Pabau
The Pabau system allows us to carefully target our marketing, provide an excellent service to our patients and staff find the on-line training modules very helpful. Their customer support service is outstanding.

The Pabau system is uniquely positioned in the aesthetics industry to deliver an easy to use diary, marketing and accounting system.

When there are glitches in the system it seems to take ages to solve it and we never receive any discount for days that are affected

Great clinic software overall
We are able to easily record clinical data with Pabau, and able to use the CRM function to gain an understanding of our patient demographics. The support is exceptional
Avantages
Ease of use, functionality and useful marketing tools. Support team is very friendly and approachable.
The software is feature-rich and the company continues to innovate and push the boundaries.
Inconvénients
Lack of chat function to be able to communicate in real time with reception and other clinic rooms. This would be a great addition. Lack of integration with my preferred histology lab.
The software has gone down a couple of times, which is a real problem as we rely so heavily on it for consent taking and clinical notes. Having a backup in place fro when these outages happen would be good.

Great software
I need to get accustomed more with it, but overall so far I have had a good experience. Thank you!
Avantages
The software without doubt is vast but pretty much intuitive. After the initial training all made much more sense and if in doubt I can always watch again the recordings.
What I like the most is the integrated function to make your own marketing campaigns and the loyalty points you can give to your patients when they refer friends, without counting my practice is now paperless and I don't have to take folders with me in different clinics!
Inconvénients
I would have preferred if the payment system could offer more methods rather than just Stripe.
This might be something the developers can look into it.

Very poor migration experience, multiple issues not resolved
Poor and inconsistent customer service.
At the outset, I spoke with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] from Pabau, and subsequently [SENSITIVE CONTENT], when he was slow to revert, about a number of elements that were critical to my choice of software.
Unfortunately, I was given incorrect information, and I am now writing this review, as my email to head office about my concerns, has gone unacknowledged, and unanswered.
I was told that the migration would take a max of 7 days. Yet here I am, 7 weeks in, with critical patient documents missing, a messed-up GP database, insurance price over-rides not uploaded, and poor communication with apparently no will, to get the issues sorted.
I was told that Pabau integrates with Sage accounts (it doesn't)
I was told that there was no issue with Irish mobile numbers - when an issue arose, I was told that there might be an issue with some mobile numbers but they possibly couldn't identify this as they were Irish numbers, and received no further help.
I was reassured that my extensive database of GPs would be imported intact. In fact, entire swathes of data (GP telephone numbers and email addresses) have been removed. The addresses have had Ireland entered as a town, and United Kingdom as the country, which is incorrect.
I was reassured that there would be no problem using my existing Word templates, and that I would have full word processor functionality. This is absolutely not the case.
Avantages
The product has a lot of potential, particularly relating to automating routine reminders, etc.
Patient photos function is very useful
Inconvénients
There are significant issues around the medical history section, which for some reason cannot be removed from the iPad when a patient is given same, to complete a consent form. I consider it dangerous, that a patient can click into and alter their medical history - that is alter their medical record.
There is no ability to create and email a Word document or PDF from within the system. We are required to use a secure email system for correspondence with GPs and Hospitals, and thus cannot email directly from Pabau. The impossibility of producing anything other than the simplest of letters within the system, owing to the constraints on the Word templates, means that we have to engage a cumbersome of cutting and pasting email content to letters, an utter waste of time. My letter templated are largely pre-populated with content, which I edit and add to as required. Pabau allows me enter text to one point only in the middle of the document, rendering these templates obselete. This is very frustrating as I specifically asked when I interviewed Pabau, if I could continue using my templates as before, and was told that it would be "no problem"

Pabau for an Aesthetic Clinic
The onboarding process was very slow for a brand-new clinic with no data to migrate. Most of the support staff have limited knowledge and are unable to provide immediate assistance. The platform has basic bugs that are common in any software platform, indicating a lack of thorough testing before releasing features to the public. Many features in Pabau 2 depend on the original Pabau, requiring tweaks in Pabau 1 for them to function correctly in Pabau 2.
Avantages
I found several aspects of Pabau particularly beneficial:
Online Booking System: The ability to create links for specific treatments is a standout feature. It simplifies the booking process for clients and allows for targeted promotion of particular services.
Cloud-Based Platform: The cloud-based nature of Pabau ensures that data is securely stored and accessible from anywhere. This enhances flexibility and convenience, making it easy to manage appointments and client information on the go.
Inconvénients
System Performance: The system can be quite slow at times, which impacts efficiency and productivity.
Onboarding Process: The onboarding process is also slower than expected, which can be frustrating for new users eager to get started.
Customer Success: The Customer Success experience leaves much to be desired mainly because Customer Success staff were not trained on Pabau 2 features or how to use them.
Customer Retention Focus: Customer retention should be a core aspect of every interaction. Ensuring that users feel valued and supported can significantly improve overall satisfaction.
System Bugs: There are still multiple bugs present in the system despite it being in the production environment. Addressing these issues promptly would enhance the user experience and reliability of the platform.

Pabau after one year
Overall very good. There are a few elements mentioned above which would bring it into excellent all round for me.
Avantages
I like the ease of moving from clinical notes to photos to appointments to admin - all smoothly transition. Photos are easy to import and show side by side.
Inconvénients
I would like easier direct entry to fields such as medical history, family history, social history rather than only have it automated from the medical questionnaire form.
Investigations are not very developed yet in terms of export of tests / import of results, not much for imaging, and no inbuilt scoring system for things like BMI, CVS risk, dementia screen etc

Our company has used pabau software for 2 years. The services Pabau provides our company is first class to the text reminders, to the paperless consent forms and documentation to the online booking - it has given our clinic a professional look and we are very pleased with the system.
Inconvénients
Customer service support emails take a while to reply (sometimes 3 - 4 days) I have had an existing problem that’s still not been rectified - my consent forms when detailing where I’ve injected on the diagram when saved if I go back in the drawings all my documentation has moved to the right.
That you can only use on Apple iPad and can only download from Apple store.

Not blown away
I'm glad I implemented the system a number of months prior to opening the practice. There is no way Pabau is a 'good to go' system and needs a lot of familiarisation and use to get to know. On the plus side, the customer care is fantastic and they are always happy to try and help, and there has been a lot of questions and technical guidance needed.
Avantages
Relatively easy to use - if you have some coding, CRM, or practice management experience you will probably get by slowly. I most like it for its functionality and the number of integrations available.
Inconvénients
A lot of items are 'hard coded' making it impossible to customise the way you want it. There are some functions that don't actually work (I raised this and it is being 'looked into' but no ETA for a solve).
The system comes across as a bit dated.
I like the 'paperless' journey, however, there seems to be an oversight that some practices are still required at times to use paper and export to PDF format with a more aesthetically pleasing format would be beneficial.

Better execution of the basics, customer service very good
Avantages
The customer service is great, I am on the chat most days and have an answer to my questions within a couple of hours. The reminders, pre care and after cares are excellent and the desktop is lovely to use.
Inconvénients
We use the app and it just does not keep up with Pabau on the desktop, which is a shame as it is what we use the most and this was explained to the agent when Pabau was sold to us. The basics don't always work as they should, clients haven't been getting reminders for over 2 weeks now. Get the basics spot on before implementing any other features I would say.

It's relatively simple and easy to use, with the help of customer support they make solving problems easy.

Everything is integrated into the software. Features that are coming are why I purchased with Pabau and am anxiously waiting to be able to use them.

There are multiple steps you have to take in order to accomplish one goal, for example making a member available for online bookings.
